The British Museum refers to its complex network of security cameras as ‘The System’. Museum artefacts are observed by visitors, museum visitors are observed by the system. Can we experience a museum’s collection or an exhibition through these all-seeing eyes of the institution? This project aims to give access back to visitors by presenting these cameras as tools of engagement and communication. Four robotic CCTV cameras along with an intercomm system were installed around the RCA School of Communication Show' ‘18 and access to The Control Room was opened, allowing visitors to observe or address areas of the exhibition in new ways.
Deconstruction and reconstruction are equal powers of investigation. This plinth opposes the longing for restoration and preservation we see in contemporary museums. The current model has stagnated.
Shown as part of the RCA Work in Progress Show 2018, the installation invited visitors to destroy and reconstruct artifacts over a four day period. The plinth questions the relationship we have with museums and their often stagnant collections.
This ongoing project is an exhibition proposal that has the primary aim of communicating the story of Brutalist Architecture to the people of Jersey. Designed by architect Friedrich Tamms, the concrete fortifications, built by the Germans on Jersey during the Second World War, had a widely unknown influence on the Brutalist ethic, inspiring the robust forms, materials and ethos seen in buildings worldwide. Using the space inside one such fortification, Marine Peilstand 3, Et Tu, Brute? provides an exhibition experience that sheds light on these links through investigation and exploration, whilst also querying the movement's place in the contemporary world.
A publication and projection installation for my BA Final Major Project that examined the ways in which we experience objects and buildings that no longer exist. The accompanying publication was self-authored and featured a different heat-sensitive cover shadow depending on when the book was purchased.

How can the the analogue experiences in a museum coexist with the virtual world? This installation for the V&A Museum aimed to examine these questions. 10 arms were scanned across the night and projected in a live virtual gallery as part of the Museums digital collection.

A calendar produced during one day workshop at Winchester School of Art. For this collaboration with 3 other students, a large calendar of numbers was placed on a wall and 31 photographs taken, each highlighting a number in 31 ways. For each new month, the cover is removed and resent through the printer, with the name of the said month being added each time.
Concrete & High Street is a publication created for my BA that appropriates 3 essays by J.B. Priestly, Owen Hatherley and The Future Southampton Group which discuss the architectural landscape of the city of Southampton, the design of the book reflects my personal feelings towards this landscape, highlighting my favourite building, Wyndam Court, and the essay that discusses it with two yellow pages which interrupt the centre of the book much as the building interrupts its surroundings.
Runway is a platform created for an industry brief at WSA set by National Air Traffic Services, who wanted a way of further engaging students and decreasing the dropout rate at their training academy. Based on feedback from those working at NATs, the outcome addresses the need for a student focal point in the academy building and a two-way dialogue between the students and the course.
A project created as part of an internship with Studio 3015. The objective was to create a booth for the UCAS Design Your Future event in which course representatives and prospective students could discuss the course offered by WSA in an engaging and interactive way. Digital, print and spatial design were all used in order to achieve an outcome that reflected the nature of the courses offered and communicated the aims of the college
